At 11 weeks old, Nova is proving she’s not just a beautiful girl, she’s becoming a wonderful travel companion. She just debuted her road trip skills on a big one: Wexford to Nashville, as our family moved our daughter into Belmont University for her freshman year. And this little muffin did it like a pro.

Whether she was curled up against her mom Bagel or aunt Cookie, or drifting off with her head resting right on you, Nova settled in like she’d been doing it her whole life. Somewhere between the miles and the goodbyes, she reminded us why home is wherever your people are.

That’s the kind of companion Nova is going to be for her forever family, the one who rides shotgun on road trips, who naps in your lap at the end of a long day, who turns an ordinary day into an extraordinary one.

We took Miss Nova out today and couldn’t stop noticing something. She truly changes color depending on the light. In the shade, she reads almost charcoal black. Step her into direct sun, and that deep blue coat lights up like slate. Turn her just right, and you catch silvery undertones we didn’t even know were there.

That white neck patch stays her signature no matter the lighting, like a little exclamation point marking exactly who she is. And of course, the moment she looked back at us over her shoulder, we melted all over again.
